What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is a type of talking therapy that incorporates psychotherapy with hypnosis. It utilises modern and well researched strategies. It differs from other types of therapy as SFH does not dwell on past traumas or events. Instead, it looks at what you want to achieve (the solution) rather than the problem and identifying what small steps you can take to achieve that.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis or trance is very normal and natural thing. We do it all the time, when
daydreaming or watching TV. In our sessions hypnosis happens when the conscious and subconscious mind come together in focused attention using guided relaxation. It enables you to relax on a deep level and let your imagination guide you through positive suggestions, to help you achieve your goals. You are fully in control throughout hypnosis and indeed can bring yourself out of a hypnotic state at any point.
